Fat Talk

I've been bothered lately about talk on other blogs where people say, if you are losing weight, i encourage you NOT to, and if you are dieting, you can't be a fat advocate. I highly disagree. My own personal reasons for losing weight is to obtain stamina again, to get back the energy. It exacerbates my illness(myalgic encephalitis) and I am extremely limited to what i can do on a daily basis. I love my body right now. I love my fat belly and curves! I love other fat women as well. I make clothes for us! I think that the choice you make about what you weigh is highly individual and should never be criticized. I will always have my curves, I think they are beautiful. I support other women in staying their weight, and I support women when they want to lose some. And that's the way we all should be toward each other. Supportive, not critical. I want the same support I had when I WASN'T losing weight. I look forward to being able to go shopping again, stand at an event without having to quickly find a place to sit down, not having to use a wheelchair or a scooter. I give props to other bloggers who are supportive to all. We need to be behind each other. It's too important. xx

I wish other people didn't make you feel like you had to explain yourself. If they were any kind of friends, they would support you no matter what. The only thing I want for my friends is for them to be happy, healthy, and loving life and living it to its fullest. That is what I want for you too. Stay strong--you will always be curvy and beautiful, but soon, you will be ACTIVE, ABLE, curvy and beautiful. Anyone who doesn't support that--is a total downer in my book.
